Common mistakes to avoid

A repair certificate is clearest when it distinguishes the completed job from faults that were not part of that job.

Describing the repair without identifying the item or work order
Combining parts and workmanship when their periods are different
Leaving the completion date or coverage start date unclear
Failing to state whether inspection, return, or prior approval is needed
Making the certificate sound like it covers unrelated future faults
Using promises that differ from the customer’s invoice or estimate

Before you download

Confirm that the covered repair, starting date, and remedy are unambiguous. If parts have a different warranty from your labour, show both periods separately.
